Where to Eat in Kenai, Alaska

May 10, 2019 by Everyday Alaska

So you’ve found yourself in beautiful Kenai, Alaska, and you’re wondering where to eat. Well I’ve been there. And I’ve eaten there. And now that I’ve been there and eaten there (many, many times!)  I’ve got the scoop on where to eat in Kenai, Alaska! And if you’re looking for restaurants in neighboring Soldotna, too, click here!

Louie’s Steak and Seafood

Biscuits. Need I say more? If you want some of the best biscuits you’ll ever have, hit up Louie’s. Louie’s is a little more expensive than average but well worth it. With great food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Louie’s is an all around good choice, and it’s decorated in all the Alaskan taxidermy you can think of!
What to order: Anything with biscuits! Or anything without biscuits and just order the biscuits on the side!

Jersey Subs

Here you’ll find filling subs that you can take with you on the go, dine at the deli, or call in for pick up (which I highly recommend doing during summer since they’re pretty busy, just make sure you call the right one since there’s one in Soldotna, too!). You can go from mini to massive, whatever floats your boat! And speaking of boats, if you place an order for pick up they will special wrap it for you so your sandwich doesn’t get soggy if you’re heading out fishing and want to bring sandwiches for lunch!
What to order: Grab a turkey or a giant roast beef sando to go and head out fishing!

Burger Bus

You would never guess that some of the best burgers in Alaska are made in an old bus, but they are! Call in your burger for pick up (highly recommended!), or take a seat in one of the picnic tables next to this one of a kind lunch stop. With efficient, friendly service, awesome punch cards (you’ll be back so be sure to get one of these), and tasty burgers, Burger Bus in Kenai is a great lunchtime choice. It’s always busy, but don’t let that scare you away from the best burgers in town!
What to order: Grab the Bus Burger with cheese or the halibut burger.

The Flats Bistro

For some high class dining in Kenai, give The Flats a try! With an incredible view and a great atmosphere, The Flats is the place to go for a night on the town in the big city of Kenai. From seafood to mac and cheese, and buddha bowls to filet mignon, there is really something for everyone. It’ll cost you a bit, but it’s mighty tasty. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
What to order: Fish and chips or the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. And don’t leave without trying the blondie sundae!
